About Me
Kalau boleh jujur, saya nggak sejak kapan ketertarikan saya terhadap dunia masak memasak dimulai (yang jelas sih saya suka banget makan). I used to watched and saved a lot (I mean literally a lot, like a dozen or more) of cooking tutorial videos from various sources with a great quality (like Kinfolk, or something like that). Yah, pada awalnya sih ketertarikannya cuma gimana caranya membuat video masak memasak keren seperti video - video yang saya kumpulkan itu. I mean this is all started with a simple interest, then it turns into curiosity how to make it happen.
Pada awalnya, cooking is something that I'm not good at dan saya pernah punya pengalaman buruk tentang memasak. There's one time I tried to cook my boyfriend a fried rice. A simple fried rice. I mean come on, how can you fail at making a simple and easy fried rice? Yap. Begitulah semua orang bilang. "Elah, nasi goreng aja kok nggak bisa!" Tapi serius! Bikin nasi goreng nggak semudah itu! Instead of savory and umami combine altogether, it was super sweet and I overcooked it. Yang paling parah adalah it was too oily until my boyfriend lost his words. Iya sih emang dihabiskan, but he's just being polite or nice (?). Tapi sedihnya, doi inget banget gimana enggak enaknya nasi goreng saya saat itu, so he tease and mock me every time I made a new one (even personally I felt it better than those bad fried rice).
Ya tapi, siapa sih yang tahu? Maybe I'm just a stubborn person. Mungkin saya perlu berterima kasih sama dia, karena olok - olokan tersebut berubah menjadi tantangan buat saya, then without realizing how fast time goes by, here I am. Sharing my cooking experiences with you guys. I do realize, cooking is something that need to be develop. I do learning a lot every time I cook, from friends, from mom, from my boyfriend's mom, from everyone else, and I sharpen it with trial and error. I do believe, no matter how bad cook you were, if you continue to make a good dish for people you love, you will immediately know how to be 'not bad' anymore.
Yeah it was a pep talk, just jump into the posts and good luck in cooking!
